Take A Closer Look

Red Hibiscus

One of my favorite places to take photos would be my parent in law's complex. They have a lot of beautiful flowers around the place and I like to take my time walking along the streets with my husband's KYOCERA on my neck. We visit them almost every week and it has become my new routine to go on these morning strolls.

I would like to thank my friends who have been giving me so many wonderful tips on photography. Please, bear with me as I am in the process of exploring this new hobby :). Last Sunday, I have been trying to apply some of the given advice on the macro (close up) shots and the red hibiscus here was one of the results. It is my first entry on Macro Monday and I also would like to submit it for this week's Mellow Yellow Monday and Ruby Tuesday. Have a great week, everybody :)!

Rosidah - that is a great first attempt on macro! It is all about practice, focus on the camera and a steady hand! My first attempt wasn't nearly as good as this!

Very nice first entry on Macro Monday! And hibiscus is a wonderful flower, isn't it? :)

Best wishes!

Nice composition. I prefer shots with a dynamic, off center layout to the straight on, more common ones. My tip: look for the unusual angles that others may not see.

How fun to tie it into several memes. :) My mom has some red hibiscus in her yard and I always enjoy it! Lovely pic!

Apa kapah Rosidah,
These are the few Bahasa Indo words I know. I tell people I am from Borneo, because most people know Borneo rather than sarawak or malaysia. I was born in sarawak before it was Malaysia, we did not have to speak BM. The local Sarawak malay is slightly different from BM or B Indo.

I like the hibiscus flower. I just bought a hisbicus flower drink, which I was going to blog. You ever had this drink before?

terima Kaseh for visiting my blog. Let's be kawan, OK. You understand my Sarawak Malay. I also lived in 16 years in Singapore where I kawan many maids from Indonesia. I chacap with everyone lah. I also got bagus friends from Indonesia.

De Mana you tingal in Indonesia? I only been to Bali.

Cheers,

Ann :)
