The End Of The Rainbow | Microfiction Monday #6

Monday, November 23, 2009
Welcome to Microfiction Monday,
where a picture paints 140 characters...or even fewer.

Microfiction Monday badge

Susan at Stony River Farm hosts Microfiction Monday. Every Sunday evening she posts a photo or illustration, and you compose a story in 140 characters about it on your blog. Click on the button or link above to get further instructions. To help you along she also has posted a link that counts your characters at Design 215. Thanks for hosting this meme, Susan.

Here's this week's picture (Beautiful, isn't it.) and my story

He hid at the end of the rainbow.
All it took was to grab the scarf and she would be his.

It was time. He didn't hesitate.
No fairy. A witch!

This is my first time to join Microfiction Monday. I would love to become better with my words, like a lot of my friends whose blogs I enjoy. Have a wonderful week, everyone :)

30 appreciated note(s):

Hello Rosida,very interesting....and not to worry, you are doing alright with your compositions, and your eloquence.
Just write from your heart....

By the way, which part of Indonesia are you living?
I have always loved the beautiful Indonesian accent...not to mention ahemmm, the beautiful Indon women, ha ha.
Love the way the women have their hair in a bun and wear their beautiful batiks.

Incidentally, my last date or ha ha, fling before I got handcuffed was with an Indonesian lady I met...and posted about it about 3 months back, titled, 'Romancing a sarong'.

You have a pleasant week and keep well, Lee.

@Anya: It is Susan's photo. I only wrote the micro fiction story. Beautiful shot, isn't it. Have a wonderful day too, even if it's raining :).
@Nessa: Thanks for the encouragement.
@Lee: Thanks for the advice. I'm living in West Java. Have a pleasant week and keep well, too.

Posidah;

So nice to meet you ! This is the best part of Microfiction Monday, meeting such talented bloggers!

I was hoping for the fairy results, not a witch. So good!
have a good week!

Oh MY! It does amaze me the different ideas you all come up with from looking at the same picture! And I always thought there were only leprechauns at the end of the rainbow! LOL!

Susan at Stony River said...

Oh wow Rosidah, your ending took me completely by surprise! LOL and that would be just MY luck, the same as his!

Of course I can't help but think it serves him right, for lying in wait that way...it's a great little story!

We've got rainbows here again today; still raining. It never seems to stop.

Serves the fellow right for wanting to snatch instead of taking the time to get to know the lady in question!

@All: Thanks for all the wonderful comments and encouragements. Have a great day :)
@Pacey: I enjoy both word and photo memes. Still got to work on my words, though ;p.
@Thom: The witches in the opposite stories were always good. Who knows, they could end up happily ever after. LOL.
@Bill: Thanks for the uplifting words :)
@Melli: It was really interesting to read all various micro fictions. I wonder why no leprechauns appeared. LOL
@Susan: You've got beautiful rainbows in Ireland :). I really love the photo.
@Barbara: TY. So nice to have you stopping by :)
@Peggy: Hi! It's so nice to meet you, too. I always love new friends :). Have a good week, too.

Oh just tell me it wasn't Glenda the Good Witch. I swear her voice was creepier than the sight of flying monkeys!

See how much fun this can be? And you did great! See you next Monday.
