Going Through My Mother's Kidney Operation

Friday, January 22, 2010
It is time again for some Weekend Reflections hosted by James at Newton Area Photo and Friday’s Fave Five hosted by Susanne at Living To Tell The Story.

Weekend Reflections | Hospital WindowMom's Hospital Window Reflection

I really like the thought of thinking back over our weekly life. It is a good way to reflect and find these hidden gems of blessings. I haven't been blogging for a while due to my mother's sickness. Please forgive me, if I'm still not much around. I truly miss you all and carry you in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you, my dear friends.
My mother was released last Wednesday after spending two weeks at the hospital. But she has still a lot of recoveries to do. I feel very grateful for the many wonderful blessings throughout this difficult time. My Friday’s Fave Five is:
1. Being able to get to the emergency room in time. It was said afterward that two days later might have been too late.

2. Being able to get blood donations for my mother's kidney operation. It really saves lives.

3. Being given the chance to spend more time with Mom. My mother's kidney operation lasted for almost eight hours, and in the middle of the operation, we have been told about some difficulties to get ready for the worst. I'm so glad that she made it.

4. A wonderful, supportive family.

5. Going through harsh times like this is never easy. I feel very grateful for having remarkable offline and online friends who soothe the soul. Bless you, all.

My dear sweet Rosidah...just last night I was thinking I need to email you to find out what's going on. I'm so glad to hear that your mom is on the road to recovery. That is great news. I'm sure it's been a real ordeal for you and your family. This is so wonderful that she is on the road to recovery. It's going to be a long one and please know that you have my thoughts with you through this. Just keep thinking positive and know that I send aloha and sunshine to you you and your family. Your reflection photo is excellent...it fits so well with this wonderful post. Don't worry about apologizing that you can't blog as much. We will still be here and with you every step of the way :) xoxoxoxo
