How To Create A Photo Gallery Widget for Your Blog

You can create your own photo gallery widget imported from your documents, flickr, webshots, 23 or photobucket with Good Widget for your blog or site.

It is quite easy. Just sign up an account --> Click the widget tab and choose one of the widgets below.

Create A Photo Gallery Widget
I clicked the button for slideshow --> Import photos by using the panel on the right. Note: You can drag and drop the thumbnails of your photos to re-order them. Don't forget to save your changes.

After that you can configure your widget settings. In this case: widget name, size, delay, background color and accent color --> Click save.

Share the widget with family and friends or add the code to a social network or blog. Tada... Now, look at this wonderful result!

Besides my photos, you can see a few photos taken by my husband. I thank our friend Erwin for sharing his holiday photos of Dreamland Bali Beach and Manado Tuo Mountain.

If you like it, go on and create your own photo gallery widget.

Soap Flower Bouquet | Crafts

soap flower bouquet | © 2009 by Rosidah Abidin
Five days ago I published a post about a Scented Paper Soap Flower Craft. The photo above shows a bouquet that is also made out of soap. Although it seems more complicated, it is actually still quite simple.

Cut and slice the soap of your choice into flower shapes. Then string and decorate these shapes with ready-made flower parts or other ornaments into a beautiful bouquet.

Just use your imagination to create your own craft!

Add Label Clouds To Blogger

Note: I am no longer using this code, because now you can choose this widget from Layout --> Page Elements --> Add A Gadget on Blogger.com

My friend Alex has published another great info on Banana Talk 0.2. Just go to his post about Label Cloud and follow his instructions, after you made sure that you already have added the label widget.
You can use the browser edit menu to quickly find b:widget id='Label1', before you replace the existing label widget template with the second code part in Alex's post.

To modify the cloud font colors, you can apply codes from the 216 Web Safe RGB Color Chart . I have changed the maxColor variable to white = [255,255,255] and minColor variable to yellow = [255,255,204].

How To Make Soap Flowers | Crafts

soap flowers | love quotes | Rosidah Abidin
I received a lot of scented paper soap flower souvenirs and thought that I could modify them for some variation. You can see the result in the photo above.

soap flowers | material | Rosidah AbidinThe steps are very simple.

You only need these ready made materials:
- paper soap flower
- flower rod and leaves
- cord
- green crepe paper tape

Use the cord to bouquet all flower parts according to your desire and then cover the cord with the green crepe paper tape.

Now, you have a beautifully scented paper soap flower. Enjoy making your own craft!

How To Make Flower Bead Patterns

Make Flower Bead Patterns
Okay, I have to admit being confused naming my 8 year old daughter's latest craft...

It's her own poem decorated with bead flower patterns placed into a photo frame. The poem written in Bahasa Indonesia tells us about flowers comforting the human soul.

Making these bead flower patterns is quite easy:
1. Draw or copy a pattern.
2. Glue some beads with the colors of your choice on this pattern.
3. Decorate it with leaves or other accessories, like little flowers as pistils.

Go ahead and try it out! I think the kids will have great fun to make flower bead patterns.

50 Free Blog Widgets plus My Intro

In music, the introduction or intro is a passage or section which opens a movement or a separate piece. Establishing melodic, harmonic and/or rhythmic material related to the main body of a piece. (Wikipedia)

Well, let me make my intro now...

I've been blogging since June 2008 on my personal Friendster Blog, Common Sense Ain't Common. Just talking up my senses without no concern about the posts look.

Not until September 2008 when I got the opportunity to try the new version of Friendster Blog 2.0 and met my dear friend Alex on the Forum Message Board. Since then he has giving me a lot of advices on blogging. You can see his blog Banana Talk 2.0 in my wonderful friendships section.

Three months have past from then and I have become a passionate blogger still trying to improve my skills. I am really amazed about people's
creativity. There's so much to learn... so much to do.

At the beginning of 2009, I read
Stan Schroeder's article about 50 Great Widgets for Your Blog and found out about some cool Javascript Widgets, like Feedjit, only supported for free by Blogger/Blogspot templates. This and some other circumstances made me finally decide to put the senses from my very first blog home at Friendster to some new tunes here.

Music has and always be an important part of our life's. It is an universal language bonding us each other. I believe that for better or worse, life is music...

...you just need to hear the harmony.
