I visited Valkyriens blog and found out about Purple Day, an event founded in 2008, by nine-year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia, Canada. Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26, people from around the globe are asked to wear purple and spread the word about epilepsy.
I hadn't the chance to wear purple today, but I'm following the steps of many others by posting a purple flower from my photo archives to show my support for this event.
PS. I'm not feeling so well these few days, but it's getting better. Since this orchid here stays for a good cause, I thought that I would share the flower on Today's Flowers as well. I hope you don't mind. Thank you.
Thank you for creating this great blog carnival Luiz

I had no idea. I don't think there's a single purple item in my entire wardrobe though. But I'll mark the date and make sure I remember it next year.
