I took this photo near east Jakarta in our moving car. No worries, I can not drive and sat in the passenger seat ;). Some of my friends may already know that I am really eager to learn more about taking photos of moving objects or night photography, and I have received very encouraging advices. Thank you so much for all of them.
Well, learning needs practice and that's what I'm trying to do in my leisure time. In this case it actually was me who moved. I don't know why, but taking photos while I'm on the move makes me nervous. I still hesitate a lot before pushing the button. But there are some shots which turn out quite well. Even though I didn't manage to capture the whole statue, I like the clear blue sky in this photo here. Have a great weekend, everybody!

Looks good from a moving vehicle :)
ReplyDeleteFast shutter/high ISO works good for moving objects. Good luck! :)
Great shot the silhouette of those statues is mysterious.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosidah, This is a lovely picture. You are such a wonderful and talented photographer. Keep up the good work.!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful shot. You don't have to be nervous anymore, you have done a good job. I like the song .. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shot on the go, Rosidah! Thanks for commenting at my place! :)
ReplyDeleteVery well done! Yes, sometimes I see something from the car and I so want to take a shot of it...now you got me motivated! Happy skywatching...
ReplyDeleteThat statue feels ominous! What is it of exactly? It looks like there are a couple bodies at the peaks. Very interesting...
ReplyDeleteI really like the perspective you caught of the statue as you drove past. Nice job! I don't have speakers on my computer at work but I can hear the song in my head. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!

Beautiful picture, Rosidah.... You are a great photographer. Keep the beautiful pictures coming!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

It is a very haunting image.
ReplyDeleteSomehow having the statue on the side of the photo makes it even better. Looks to me like an angel with wings spread out to the sky. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI think this looks great without the complete statue. It gives the photo more of an intriguing quality as well as balance between the sky on the left and the statue on the right. I'm looking forward to your movement and night photos!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is, Suzanne. The whole statue has three figures at the peak.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you were rolling slowly, and not going full speed. Good shot at any speed by the way!
ReplyDeleteActually that composition is probably more interesting than if you'd had the statue centered and gotten it all in. As you learn and get comfortable with the camera, you'll find you're throwing things off center on purpose. That's where the art meets the science.
ReplyDeleteNicely done. And in this case I don't think the shot suffered very much for the movement. In fact, I'm not sure it suffered at all.
I think you really are a wonderful photographer and looking at your pictures I can see that the spirit is definitely there. Keep bringing them here and that's all that matters, it's what you see that matters the most, not the "proper" way to do it with the camera... I hope that makes sense...
ReplyDeleteHugs♥
Beautiful photo - I'm surprised it was taken from a moving vehicle!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me and have a great weekend.
Superb skies in your slide show. Most impressive.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely blue sky here Rosidah and it looks good, the side of the building is one good addition.
ReplyDeleteI like this shot because you don't see the whole statue!! I think the composition is perfect.
ReplyDeleteMakes for a more intriging image.
Sometimes unplanned shots are the best. You did a good capture!
