It has been a while since I last published my Green post... If you know me, you might have noticed that I have been suffering from allergic sinusitis that strikes from time to time, and has become more intense lately. Allergy and dust a.k.a pollution isn't quite a good match.
I have been searching the Web to find links discussing pollution, and sometimes I really think that kids are way better than us the so-called grown-ups. I have found an inspiring site called Children of The Earth United that takes us on an adventure in environmental education. The aim is to:
I have been searching the Web to find links discussing pollution, and sometimes I really think that kids are way better than us the so-called grown-ups. I have found an inspiring site called Children of The Earth United that takes us on an adventure in environmental education. The aim is to:
Help people to:
* develop a greater understanding and respect for animals, plants, water, soil, air and energy systems;
* comprehend the positive and negative environmental effects of our actions;
* acquire a knowledge of practical, sustainable living strategies which consciously and carefully utilize our natural resources;
* obtain information on nature programs, centers and organizations; and
* share and learn from each other’s creative ideas and knowledge.
Please, take your time to check out their site. Thank you!
Thanks for hosting, Michelle
Thanks for this great idea, Gina
MY APPRECIATION TO THE TODAY'S FLOWERS TEAM
That's a beautiful flower and a good post. Thanks for your visit to my nature notes.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosidah,
ReplyDeleteLovely flower image!
When I was a little girl I remember anti-litter campaigns, and preventing forest fires and it's unfortunate that all these years later we still have to be educating ourselves and our children how to take care of our earth - something that should come about naturally.
What a great post! I love the Children of the Earth link - especially their children's book list.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
Great post on a great site.
ReplyDeleteThe reason most environmental impact education is targeted toward children is because most of the adult world isn't listening. The future generations need to be educated before they are too jaded to care!
That's a beautiful flower photo and a great link. Thanks for posting it!
ReplyDeleteNice green post.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.

simply beautifully captured shot....lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Children's site. Good to hear from the children and to instill in them the love for our environment. If we do and teach the children, we gain so much :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a good post Rosidah and great for everyone to be so careful and respecting of nature.
ReplyDeleteI marvel in your ability to incorporate memes into one posting with some desirable information that comes along with it. Thanks Rosidah for your constant encouragement. Once I had a problem with dust allergy. And when it strikes, I know what to do. General clean-up and I will feel fine. Take care as am only sneaking and is starting to get things ready now.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful flower, absolutely stunning.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better today and that one day you will better understand your condition. I understand your frustrations...
Hugs♥

ReplyDeleteps you're invited to comment on my post too =)
That's a beautiful photograph. When I was a child, the campaign in the U.S. was Woodsy the Owl saying, "Give a Hoot, Don't Pollute!"
ReplyDeleteMarvelous blossom and timely reminders for all of us. I used to suffer more from allergies than I do these days ... much to my relief ;--)
