10th Wedding Anniversary

10th Wedding Anniversary
To My Beloved Husband

Because in everything I do
you always have a part,
Because a loving thought of you
is always in my heart,
Because each little wish of mine
you've tried to make come true --
On this, our day, I want to say
How dearly I love you.

Encouraging Hope Quote

Life seems to settle down again, little by little... One step at a time. My Mom gets more mobile again with each new day. I admire her courage, spirit and effort to become her usual self after the right kidney removal. She used to be a very active person, you know. I hope to become this strong person like her.

Today I had the chance to go online on my PC and saw that I received this beautiful image from my dear friend Amanda at MooreBlogLife. (Thank you, my dear.) It as an encouraging hope quote and I thought to share it with you on my blog.

encouraging hope quotes
Hope is a wonderful thing.
Something to be cherished and nurtured,
and something that will refresh us in return.

And it can be found in each of us,
and it can bring light into the darkest of places.

Going Through My Mother's Kidney Operation

It is time again for some Weekend Reflections hosted by James at Newton Area Photo and Friday’s Fave Five hosted by Susanne at Living To Tell The Story.

Weekend Reflections | Hospital WindowMom's Hospital Window Reflection

I really like the thought of thinking back over our weekly life. It is a good way to reflect and find these hidden gems of blessings. I haven't been blogging for a while due to my mother's sickness. Please forgive me, if I'm still not much around. I truly miss you all and carry you in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you, my dear friends.
My mother was released last Wednesday after spending two weeks at the hospital. But she has still a lot of recoveries to do. I feel very grateful for the many wonderful blessings throughout this difficult time. My Friday’s Fave Five is:
1. Being able to get to the emergency room in time. It was said afterward that two days later might have been too late.

2. Being able to get blood donations for my mother's kidney operation. It really saves lives.

3. Being given the chance to spend more time with Mom. My mother's kidney operation lasted for almost eight hours, and in the middle of the operation, we have been told about some difficulties to get ready for the worst. I'm so glad that she made it.

4. A wonderful, supportive family.

5. Going through harsh times like this is never easy. I feel very grateful for having remarkable offline and online friends who soothe the soul. Bless you, all.

Blood Donations Help Save Lives

This morning I had been searching blood donations for my mother's kidney surgery tomorrow. We received surprising news that there might be a lack of blood stock and the family should get prepared to donate blood. Sadly, but true this is an almost common situation here in Indonesia after long holidays even in big hospitals. The problem was that you not only have to match the certain blood type, but also have to qualify certain conditions to be able to give blood.

Me and my sister have the exact same blood type as my mother, but it turned out that my own physical condition didn't allow me to donate blood whereas my sister was on her monthly cycle. So we had to search through other family members. No one near had the perfect match. The ones who did were still under the age of 17.

We finally found three donations from two of my parent's employees and a friend of my sister. I will remember these wonderful persons with gratitude for the rest of my life. My gratitude also goes to all family and friends who responded quickly to our cry for help. The reason I write this post is that today I experienced by myself blood donations help save lives. Please, take your time if you are qualified. I know that someone in need out there will be grateful to you for life.

Getting Ready For Surgery

Besides of my mother's electrolyte imbalance, it turned out that she has an infected kidney. A surgery was planned for this Tuesday, but it had been rescheduled to Wednesday because of her physical condition. I hope there will be no further delays and everything goes on well. It would be wonderful to be able to go home again soon. Thank you for all the encouragements, prayers and good thoughts. It means a lot to me. Bless you all, my dear friends.

Praying For My Mother's Health

The women in my mother's family are influenced by electrolyte imbalance, including me. Somehow my mother's calcium levels went down drastically last night. She actually hasn't been feeling well since New Year, but the sudden drop was unexpected. Although I know the symptoms and effects of this disease, I think I'll never get used to the heartbreaking sight whenever it strikes. Terrible shaking, difficulty of breathing... We had a critical situation from about 2am until 3am, before everything got under control. She seems to be stable now. It really means a lot to me, if you please take your time praying for my mother's health and sending your good thoughts. Thank you. Have a blessed day.

Looking Back At 2009

It is already the 4th day of 2010 and looking back at 2009 seems a little bit late. Maybe it might be more appropriate to Welcome 2010. But, I really love to look back at the reflections of life. I think it fills the soul with more gratitude. This particular reflection here focuses on my blogging year.

Lokking back at 2009
January 2009. The beginning of my blog Music of My Life. I have been going through so much joy and wonderful new friendships. Meeting amazing characters all over the world who taught me about the beauty of life through your eyes. Thanks to each of you for adding more color to my life.

February 2009. The first time I found out about memes in the Blogosphere. This point had lead me to a great passion for photography. Looking through the lens can be really eye-opening. You start to look more into your surroundings to find even more beauties of life, even if you are not a pro.

March 2009. The sudden loss of my beloved aunt was one of the hardest moments in my life last year. I still miss her very much. Thank you for all the uplifting words through this harsh time.

Thanks for the upload dynalicious

April 2009. My most active blogging time with 49 posts. You might say that I have found a lovely releasing channel. I received wonderful tips about photography like macro shots and participated in many wonderful new memes that have been released on this particular month.

May 2009. It was my honor to be Today's Flowers Guest Friend. My post was a tribute to my aunt who passed away in March. The Hieroglyphics of Angels features the blossoming flowers in her beautiful garden, not long after the funeral. I don't know why, but they seemed even prettier than before. Looking at them felt like she was trying to say that life goes on and we shouldn't miss on the beauty.
Flowers have spoken to me more than I can tell in written words. They are the hieroglyphics of angels, loved by all men for the beauty of their character, though few can decipher even fragments of their meaning.

June 2009. Continue sharing my thoughts on random topics like music, Indonesia, idioms and thinking green.

July-August 2009. The lowest points in my blogging year with only 4 and 7 posts due to my sickness.

September-October 2009. The Tasikmalaya and Sumatera earthquake at the end of September and beginning of October belong to the most moving highlights of 2009. I really hope that no one has to go through so much loss and sorrow again.

November 2009. I enjoyed changing my personal blog template and didn't expect to end up with a lot more new blogs in the process.

December 2009.
A month full of lovely celebrations and holidays, but also sickness in our family. I hope that everything gets better this year. Wishing you all the best for 2010, my dear friends!
