Dona Nobis Pacem - Grant Us Peace 2012

It is already late November and my post actually should be up since the beginning of this month. Nevertheless, I believe it is never too late for promoting peace. So I'm giving another shout-out that you can join Blogblast for Peace, which started out as a movement of Bloggers hosted by Mimi Lenox on every 4th November to encourage peace through blogging.

I'm very happy to say that over the years even more and more people all over the world have joined this wonderful event by sharing inspiring posts, and it now has been expanded to other social medias like Facebook or Twitter. Reading them is eye opening and transfers a lot of positive energy.

This is my fourth participation in Blog Blast for Peace since the first time in 2009. This year I decided to share Satish  Kumar's quote again with a new background from Earth Day, because it speaks so much volume to me.

"Lead me from despair to hope, from fear to trust; Lead me from hate to love, from war to peace; let peace fill our heart, our world, our universe."

It feels like a beautiful prayer to express my beliefs on hope, love and trust being engraved in the core of every human soul. A wish to experience a world full of joy, warmth and togetherness. Without prejudice on color, religion, or other subjectivity.

Let there be peace on earth.
Let it start with you and me.

Vote for Peace.
It's worth to try.
Join us in one love.

Love

Strength to embrace life;
In times pain overcomes joy.
A spirit to try.

~RA

What is it that keeps you going in a moment of hurt? Well, I don't think that there might be a better answer than faith and love. They are fuel to our soul... and without them your heart turns cold.

You gotta have strength and warmth to be able to live your life, especially after a breakdown. Something to believe in... To get over the horrible feelings that tide you down. A reason to hang on, carry on and feel alive.

Even if the original culprit that caused your pain was love... That might happen too, you know... The cure is still love, not hate. Cause, you gotta at least love yourself than letting negative emotions eat up your heart. As difficult as it seems, doing otherwise is like extinguishing your own soul. That would be a terrible double lose.

N'Sync: This I Promise You Song with Lyrics

This week's Monday Music Moves Me theme is songs about amor alias love. I have been in a very nostalgic mood lately, so this immediately reminded me of the song "This I Promise You" performed by N'Sync. The lyrics are a beautiful reminder that love is not only needed in those sweet lovey-dovey moments, but more than all in times of sadness and hurt where you need someone to lift you up and give you strength. Someone who you can trust to stand by you and walk the line. Having this special kind of person in your life is a true blessing, so hold on to him/her until the end of time.

N'Sync is one of my favorite bands that debuted in 1995. The members consisted of Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Joey Fatone before they went into a long, uncertain hiatus in 2002. The boys first single was "I Want You Back", which had been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

"This I Promise You" is the sixth track in their third album "No Strings Attached", written by Richard Marx and released in 2000.

This I Promise You Song Lyrics

Ohh ohh...
When the visions around you,
Bring tears to your eyes
And all that surround you,
Are secrets and lies
I'll be your strength,
I'll give you hope,
Keeping your faith when it's gone
The one you should call,
Was standing here all along..

And I will take
You in my arms
And hold you right where you belong
Till the day my life is through
This I promise you
This I promise you

I've loved you forever,
In lifetimes before
And I promise you never...
Will you hurt anymore
I give you my word
I give you my heart (give you my heart)
This is a battle we've won
And with this vow,
Forever has now begun...

Just close your eyes (close your eyes)
Each loving day (each loving day)
I know this feeling won't go away (no..)
Till the day my life is through
This I promise you..
This I promise you..

Over and over I fall (over and over I fall)
When I hear you call
Without you in my life baby
I just wouldn't be living at all...

And I will take (I will take you in my arms)
You in my arms
And hold you right where you belong (right where you belong)
Till the day my life is through
This I promise you baby

Just close your eyes
Each loving day (each loving day)
I know this feeling won't go away (no..)
Every word I say is true
This I promise you

Every word I say is true
This I promise you
Ooh, I promise you...

Pain Relief Haiku

Relief

No dreary nightmares.
Haunting images from past.
Closure to the heart.

~RA

Life is full of memories. Good ones and bad... There are moments you try desperately to forget, but they just keep popping up in your head no matter what you do. Sigh... So what do you do?

I'm afraid to say that there might be no definite answer. You've got to find yourself a cure for the pain, which in many cases is not as easy as it's written or said. It might be different for each and everyone of us, but either way might be tough when you try to soothe a bleeding heart.

Seeking strength in faith is one of the best medicines for me. Looking comfort in all surroundings to recognize the blessings and love still given, so that it can give some peace of mind. It helps to believe in life, to go on and keep trying.
