Good Morning Quote

Another day, another new week... You may not feel the best at the moment, but let me greet you with a lovely Good Morning quote. Cause, one needs some spirit to go on with life.

Life is too short to start your day with broken pieces of yesterday. It will definitely destroy your wonderful today and ruin your great tomorrow.  ~Author Unknown

At the bottom point of some days, I know that it's hard to hang on this thought, but that's actually the absolutely truth. Don't let your own mind and soul play games with you. Get into some positive activities that give you no time to grumble on negativity. Release it from your system.

Seek for happiness in faith, family, social activities... Once you start with something that is able to keep you focus on other things and occupy the mind, you'll see that life might not be so miserable after all.

The glue of a broken heart is various for people. But, there's one thing in common...

The turning point. A moment, a thought...when you can be honest to yourself and say, "Enough is enough! It's time to get up and move on."

Believe it or not, the key of peace and happiness doesn't depend on other people or certain situations. It is yourself that carries the most all along. You can reach for it by having some faith in God... faith of yourself... Faith to live life at the fullest, instead of paddling back.

Don't sabotage yourself by doing otherwise, and I promise you'll come to a point where all has been settled for good. It may need some time, but you'll definitely get there.

So, please lighten up. Embrace this lovely Good Morning quote. Start by loving yourself more than anything that caused you feeling down. Make this a wonderful today and walk into the direction of a great tomorrow.

An Error Occurred while Trying to Save or Publish your Post

Error Publish-Save Post

Since yesterday afternoon, I started to get this annoying messages, while working on my posts:
An error occurred while trying to save or publish your post. Please try again. Ignore warning.

I tried to ignore the warning without success and then began to try save my post instead... Also, without any success.

Then I thought it would be good to sign out of my account and sign in again. But, nope... That wasn't the answer either. As matter of fact, I noticed that there were 40 drafts of the post in my dashboard. A number that I assume is related to the frequency I attempted to save the post.

I tried to publish the post again, seemingly without results... So, I googled for answers and tried to clear browsing data as suggested. Still, no good at all.

The right fix that finally worked for me was going back to my blog's dashboard home after pushing the publish button anyway. Then, I hovered the cursor on my blog name at the top right corner of edit page and accessed it.

Turns out that my post was published all along without me knowing, because this bug prevented my edit page to go back onto my blog's posts dashboard like the usual.

Hopefully you can also fix this error the same way. Well, it's actually not a fix. But, certainly can be defined as a solution. At least for me.

Blog Makeover: What Is Pinterest?

Okay, I got to admit that having been away for too long from the Blogosphere, I had no idea about "What is Pinterest?"

This is what I noticed so far. It is a social media where people can collect and share their favorite articles, events, hobbies, videos etc. by pinning some images on a certain Pinterest wall or board organized by topics.

Now, what is meant by pinning? The Pinterest team says on their website:

A pin starts with an image or video you add to Pinterest. You can add a pin from a website using the Pin It bookmarklet or upload an image right from your computer. Any pin on Pinterest can be repinned, and all pins link back to their source.

I guess basically this social media works around images with a certain mechanism through their bookmarklet tool, unless you upload the image right onto your Pinterest board. Please, correct me if I'm wrong... cause I'm still learning here.

Anyway, the main reason I'm talking about "What is Pinterest?" relates to my intentions of a blog makeover. I've been away for so long that I realized there are quite some changes in the way people are blogging.

Blogs are looking different now. There are pin it buttons, responsive templates that adapt to different browsers to give the viewer a better experience, the layout and fonts seemed to become larger. That's way I think I really need a new, refreshing look...

A blog makeover with a Pinterest button. Despite of the fact, I may or may not join this social media. I have been on a hiatus for many reasons... One of them limited time, because I need to focus on certain matters. But, I miss blogging... and since things have slowed down. I'm getting myself more "me time" again.

Refferer Spam Blacklist & How to Deal with It

Okay. When you have landed on this post, you probably have the same problem with me.

Last night, I just decided to start blogging again after a long time and the next day... the very first thing that I saw is something odd in my blog stats. The new post that I published had received several visits from a certain referrer site, which I won't name here.

Anyway, since the nature of its name and the high frequency of occurrence on my blog made me feel uneasy... I decided to do some research on Google about it...and, voila... The results were nothing that I hoped for.

This so called site appeared in many articles that called it as a "refferer spam". From what I have read, I came to the conclusion that in the case of blogging, this term basically describes an act that gives you the impression of an amount of visits to your blog that are actually not present. These refferer spammers might have a link occurring in your blog stats that you better just ignore. Don't click it out of curiosity.

Here's a good advice that is supported by other statements on the internet, especially if you are using the Blogger platform:

Use Google Analytics instead of Blogger Stats. Blogger Stats isn’t an accurate count of your blog stats, it includes visits from bots such as those that crawl your site to create an index for search engines, spam bots and other automated programs. ~Source: http://xomisse.com/blog/prevent-referrer-spam-links

After reading this I checked my blog's Google Analytics dashboard about incoming traffic sources, and thankfully there were really no signs of the same refferer spam. Webmaster Tools also didn't state anything about recent critical issues. Hopefully it stays this way and the problem will resolve by itself. That's why for now I consider this case closed. Remember: Avoid clicking on any spam links.

Quote about Pain & Growth

This blog has been sleeping for quite a long while...

There has been a lot of going on in life...and, still is...
But, I guess anyone can actually relate well to these feelings...
Because dealing with certain matters is after all a part of daily life...

These past years I have been facing many painful losses...
Gratefully... I can now say that it helped me to grow and become more mature.

The following quote by C. JoyBell C. on Goodreads is a beautiful and refreshing representation of the pain & growth in my heart:

“Pain is [...] something I wish we could all do without, in our lives here. [...] But then I have also learned that because of pain, I can feel the beauty, tenderness, and freedom of healing. Pain feels like a fast stab wound to the heart. But then healing feels like the wind against your face when you are spreading your wings and flying through the air! We may not have wings growing out of our backs, but healing is the closest thing that will give us that wind against our faces.”
