This is another photo at Cihampelas Walk on one of our visits to Bandung. I spotted this decoration when we strolled around the area. I think it is a Japanese style, because it reminded me of scenes in the Oshin serial. But I could be wrong about this. You can see right into a mall through those windows. The sepia effect made the view into them more 'disguised'. Here follows the original photo.

Hi Roshida - the decoration on your very interesting door reminds for of the Navajo medicine wheel symbol. Cross-cultural influences exist everywhere.
ReplyDeleteGreat sepia shot! I love it that you showed the before picture also!
ReplyDeleteI like the sepia version better. Enjoy the week.
ReplyDeleteThe sepia goes well than the original, hahaha...Rosidah, it's time for the signs and roads hope to see you there friend!
ReplyDeleteToday's Blah...
This is nice, without or without sepia. There is a complexity with all the linear shapes and the circles. It is a peek into a different culture, and it attracts attention well. A nice unique picture!
ReplyDeleteNice sepia shot! Yes, I think it is Japanese too..
ReplyDeleteI like it in sepia, it gives it a mystical look.
ReplyDeleteThe sepia sure gave it a different look. I like both.
ReplyDeleteThe sepia looks great with the layout of the Japanese style doors :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a mall? It looks much too interesting to be a mall LOL.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others, too. Sepia was a great choice for this photo.
I like the shapes and patterns on the doors. Sepia adds interest to the photo.
ReplyDeleteI also like that you shared the original with us, to see how the sepia changes the photo.
Thanks for visiting my blog, Rosidah.
Enjoy your day.
I don't know what you call the style, but I'd definitely agree that sepia was the best choice here. I don't think even black and white would have done it as well and it's rare that I'll say that.
ReplyDeleteGreat effect. Lovely mall!
ReplyDeleteI like both your images, the symetry adds to the shot
ReplyDeleteHi Rosidah! What a cool sepia post - I think the sepia matches the photo well!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
The sepia tinting gives a completely different feel from the original, it looks very "old" with the monochromatic effect.
ReplyDeleteHow interesting and unusual! Works really well in sepia.
ReplyDeleteI like how the sepia version ages the photo making it seem as though it could have been taken many years ago.
