Get Well Wishes for A Friend & The Book Tag

Thursday, August 27, 2009
It's Thursday and my dear friend Carleen at Life, Liberty, and Good Coffee is scheduled for a thyroid surgery today. My prayers are with her and I hope that she gets well soon. It would be nice if you could take your time to go visit her blog and give some support. Thank you.
Sending you my brightest wishes to say...
Hope you get well soon!

I also have been visiting my dear friend Bill at The Old Fart's Blog yesterday and thought that I would play along with his Book Tag.

The rules are:

1. Collect the book that you have most handy:

Since most of my books are written in Bahasa Indonesia,
I changed this rule a little bit and took the most handy English book.

2. Turn to page 161:

Okay, the page is open

3. Find the 5th complete sentence:

Err...there is only one complete sentence.
"There was silence the rest of the way home, as they all thought about what Edwina had said, and how close their mother still was to them, and how different she was from her sister."
So I will cite the 5th complete sentence from the next page.

4. Cite the sentence on your blog:

"Edwina had invited several of her parents' friends to lunch in their garden afterward, and it was the first time they had entertained since the fateful voyage on the Titanic."

5. Pass it on to 5 other victims (oops…bloggers):

Come on and play along, if you feel like it!

6 appreciated note(s):

This game is getting around. I have been thinking about Carleen since I read on Thom's Blog (then her's) about the surgery.

When I did this meme, I had two books on my desk. In the first one I picked up page 61 was blank! It was an empty pages between parts 1 and 2. LOL!

I went and left my best wishes for Carleen.
