Thanks to Jenn for this week's theme
Growth
To each his own mind.
Embrace people with a big heart.
Why battles of view?
~RA
Talking about the process toward maturity, the growth of my heart is something I still would like to work on throughout the journey of my life. Coming to a certain state of acceptance is sometimes much easier to talk about than to do. But I believe that with an open mind, a person will be able to come to peace and move forward without having too many burdens on all those differences.
So what contributes to a heavy heart? I think one big factor is that you think something or someone is quite unacceptable toward a set of values. Well, like it or not you gotta keep in mind that not everything or everyone can be put on the same page. We need to try embrace these facts with a big heart or at least acknowledge that differences do exist. No need for useless battles of view.
The meme basics:
Haiku is simple!
It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively
(a great way to use your fingers!)
I don't create poetry, I create myself,
for me my poems are a way to me.
~Edith Södergran
Keep a poem in your heart.
4 appreciated note(s):
Very well said my friend. :)
Rosidah acceptance is tough but worth working towards we have to accept ourselves before we can accept others!
Somethings are easier to accept than others -- and it depends on whom the differences are with. I have forgiven my step-mother for the abuse she subjected me to as a child, but I am not certain I've forgiven my father for ignoring (and thus allowing) it.
what an insightful haiku! we cannot dictate our terms on other people. neither can we expect them to act or think the way we want them to. we just have to accept them for who and what they are- unconditionally, if these are people who matter most.
blessings to you, my friend. :)
