You've Got A Friend | Music Monday

Monday, July 26, 2010

My friend Amanda is temporary hosting Music Monday for Diane@goodmourningglory who is taking a break. I'm really happy that I finally can post on time this week, although it is still quite hectic here. Thank goodness, most of the worried moments have past and things seem to settle down.

Friends have been playing an important role in my entire life. They are one of my greatest treasures. I feel particularly in the mood of friendship songs right now, because I just went to my junior high school reunion on last Saturday. Meeting up again with persons I have never met in years felt very exciting, and it also was good to know that the vibe still was there.

Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan and Shania Twain belong to my favorite singers. Their collaboration with the talented Carole King is awesome. I hope you enjoy. Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.

Thanks to
Amanda & Diane
Keep a song in your heart.

Great song that can bring tears to my eyes! When I lived in the college dorm, the Carol King album was one that you could always hear wafting down the hallway. Wore that one out along with Elton John's, Madman Across the Water and Cat Stevens (loved him) Tea for the Tillerman. All of these records were worn out by the emd of that freshman year!
Have a great day, Rosidah!
Your friend,
Lin

Like Lin, this song brought me to tears. I admire all four of the women singing it but honestly, it's the power of the lyrics that get to me more than the voices in this one. Thanks for sharing it, Rosidah! I'm off to YouTube now to find it so that I can add it to my iPhone, LOL!
