Morning Blues

Wednesday, March 10, 2010
I have been dealing with flu and headache these past days and hope to recover just in time for my son's kindergarten trip tomorrow. I can't bear the thought of him running loose on the beach without me, so I will try to gather my strength to go. I feel a little bit uncomfortable, because I have been preparing in such short time. Even with a throughout packing list I tend to forget things.

Let's see: swimsuit, extra cloths, liquid soap, towel, raincoats, camera, snacks and drinks... All checked. Do you think I forgot something? Besides sunshine and fun, of course!

Anyway, the young man is ready to go... IF he can wake up on time!!! We do have some problems, when it comes to morning routines. Tomorrow we have been scheduled to leave at 6.00 am, and I'm worried. Can you see why? I just hope he doesn't go through his usual morning blues. Wish me luck.

Awww you poor thing. I do hope you get better real soon. The flu is something that is just a pain in the butt to get rid of too. It's like a damn cold. LOL. I don't think you forgot anything and I'm sure you will have a beautiful day pending that the little one wakes up LOL. He looks so peaceful...makes me yearn to be a child again LOL :) Have a wonderful time and will be anxious to hear how it went. And you take care of yourself :) xo0xoxox

Sun screen & sun glasses (for momma's headache). When your son wakes up cranky tell him it is okay for him to go back to sleep and miss the beach. I bet that'll put some zing in his step!

I hope you are both feeling bright and perky and ready to go tomorrow!

Talcum powder. I learned that if you got beach sand on your arms or legs dust talcum powder on them and brush it off with a dry towel. It's best to keep it handy if there is no clean water available for washing up.

Anyway, have fun!

Quilly beat me too it, sunblock!!! and flip flops (thongs/sandals) cuz you don't want sand in the toes! I hope you feel better, I went through this very same thing when the girls were little they brought home every virus/bug/bacterial thing that could infect a whole family when they get out of the K- 5th or 6th grade period they stop being so contagious I know that sounds like forever Rosidah but it really is not, you Blink! And they grew a foot! You wake up one morning and they are in middle school so through all the sniffles body aches and have-to-do-it's because you promised enjoy because they grow fast! Have fun tomorrow!

Isn't he CUTE!! I hope it's a great day for him.

My oldest never wanted to get out of bed -- now she's a real morning person. My youngest two are up at dawn and I'm *never* ready for that LOL
