The Indonesian Scout Organization is called Gerakan Pramuka. Pramuka is the abbreviation of "praja muda karana" that means "young people willing to work". The photo above shows a west java PRAMUKA badge of my daughter's scout uniform, which indicates that she is from one of the West Java headquarters. Jawa Barat means West Java in Indonesia. I would love to tell you more about this, but my scouting days are long over.

This is similar to groups we have here (the boy scouts and girl scouts) only now many of the girl scout groups are so commercialized all they care about is selling girl scout cookies (they are quite famous)that they have lost the idea of helping and doing service although the boy scouts still live by their original motto's.
It is great your daughter can be a part of a group that advocates human kindness and service from that kindness it will leave a positive mark on her in the future I am sure!
