Original Version of My Daughter Posing at Anyer Beach, 2005I actually love the colors in the original version, but there was something about the sky that looked too pale or white to me. I was trying to disguise this with the sepia effect as best as I could. Happy Sepia Scenes, everyone :)!

Sepia's a nice treatment for this shot. I like the color version, and I suspect it would look wonderful in black and white as well. If you start with a good shot, good things happen. And the composition and lighting here are exceptional!

Wonderful shot! I actually think I like the Sepia tone one better only because it gives it such a timeless quality. It could be any girl from any era. Love it.
Great photos and great pose! It looks like she's contemplating whether to return to sea or stay on land. And the boat is so colorful too!
PS In my photo, yes that is water! I made it ambiguous on purpose so that people would take a closer look. I thought it would add to the mystery and tone of the photo.

This is nice in sepia because the shapes are emphasized. But I also like it in colour. ;-)

I like that effect: it's subtle. I don't like the transformations that over do the colors, or make them obviously too perfectly illuminated.
