I really, really love raindrops. Sorry if I keep on repeating myself on this, but they give me such a calm and relaxing feeling. Whenever possible, I will grab my camera and go out to take some shots after the rain. I love the smell of fresh air at these particular moments. So I thought that on this Watery Wednesday, I would share one of my most favorite objects with you. The raindrops.
The song "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" has caught my attention after watching Spiderman 2. According to Wikipedia this is:
The song "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" has caught my attention after watching Spiderman 2. According to Wikipedia this is:
A song written by Hal David and Burt Bacharach for the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, winning an Academy Award for Best Original Song. Further, David and Bacharach won Best Original Score. The version by B. J. Thomas was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States in January, 1970 for four weeks and the first #1 single of the 1970's. It also spent seven weeks atop the U.S. adult contemporary chart.
The song features in the Taylor Milliken movie Spy Hard, which parodies the scene in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid where the song plays. It also features on the soundtracks of Forrest Gump and the superhero film, Spider-Man 2, in the latter accentuating Peter's blissful mood after abandoning his Spider-Man identity and its responsibilities. Most recently it was used in the Kevin Smith film Clerks II. It was also sung in The Simpsons episode, "Duffless". Also, the first episode of the second season from Grey's Anatomy is named after the song.
Quite remarkable and interesting, don't you think. I like the encouraging lyrics and the light mood of this song.

Ha, it's just the same thing as I love signs and roads. Beautiful drops, I might as well try to capture something like this.
Fantastic, like little crystal balls sitting ever so carefully on those leaves, ready to roll off.
A very pretty photo.
Hugs♥
I also love natures prisims. Lovely photo.

Water in pretty much any form is always good camera fodder if you ask me. I love what it does when it's set up like this though. Almost like having a macro filter built into your subject.
I remember when that song came out and got played to death on Top 40 radio. But I didn't know they'd used it in Spiderman 2.
Yep, I remember that song from a long time ago! Really pretty photo for WW - Great shot!
You captured those silvery raindrops so well...
I like water drops on leaves too. They always look like nature's jewels to me. :-)

I love raindrops also, Rosi... George (hubby) posted a photo of some of our tulips today--and there were raindrops on them. Check his blog out HERE.
