Indonesian Beach | SkyWatch Friday

SkyWatxh FridayClick the button to enjoy skies and views from around the world

I decided to submit the Sky Over An Indonesian Beach by my friend Faisal Dahlan (he forgot were it was, Bali or Lombok?), because I created a Sepia Scene effect under his permission in my previous post. I thought it would be interesting to have both photos compared. What kind of impression do these different effects give to you :)?

PS. I know it's still Thursday, but I wanted this photo to be subsequent to the previous one. It is 10.27 pm here, so only 1 hour 13 minutes too soon for Friday.

Wow, what an amazing setting. That blue, blue water is so pretty! This looks like a wonderful place to sit down, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee!

The one for this post makes me think of a lovely, warm day. The sepia one seems hotter. I was surprised at the difference in "feel."

WONDERFUL! :)))

I think it's the blue in this shot that makes it seem "cooler". I love them both, but this one I think I may like even better than the sepia.

The icicle on my Sky Watch post is on the plum tree in my garden. Ida is my real name. ;)

You should wait for someone in red shirt lying there! ;-)

Stunning shot!

How interesting that you took something as bright and blue as this and made a pale sepia scene from it. Really cool!

The scene is bright and sunny, perfect for brightening anyone's day. Very pretty.

Thanks for sharing.

The sea is so beautifully blue in the full colour shot, you feel like jumping in.
The sepia version reminds of old films. I half expect a silent-era actress in a swimsuit with a frill at the end jump into the sea.
As another commentator said the "feel" of the 2 versions is really different!

Hi Rosidah, ur sky and your sepia effect is wonderful.

Yes, I was born in Jakarta - Indonesia. And where do you come from??

RA said...

Well, I was born in Germany and have been living there for 10 years before my family went back to Indonesia. I'm currently located at the border of Jakarta.

I like this much better than mine, because there's no ice in this photo (unless there's a glass beside one of those chairs.

Heaven! I want to dive into that inviting water and then lounge around with a tropical cocktail!

RA said...

Cocktail or ice tea anyone :)?

I commented on the lovely sepia yesterday. This photo is just so inviting. Clouds are always so dramatic over the water.

Thank you for the nice comment on my blog, Rosidah. I appreciate it ;-)

Rosidah,
I love the photo in color- it is so very warm and inviting. I could lounge next to that water all day sipping Mimosas! The sepia one is too dark for my likeing. It looks like a vintage photo and could easily have been the scene of a crime.

The sky and the clouds are beautiful -- but that water is awesome! Excellent!!

What a difference - the two shots really appear to be from two different eras. The sepia is nice, but the color one is stunning - what a glimpse of paradise.
